Rental Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Beachstuff.co.uk. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities.

When your equipment is delivered, a Beachstuff representative will explain and, if needed, demonstrate how to correctly adjust and use all chairs, tables, parasols, and shelters to ensure they are set up safely and comfortably. Please pay close attention to these instructions and ask any questions at the time of delivery. Proper adjustment and use help prevent accidents, damage, and discomfort. By renting from Beachstuff.co.uk, you agree to follow all guidance provided by our team regarding the use of equipment.

2. Booking, Payment, and Deposit

• All bookings must be made and paid for online via our website (Beachstuff.co.uk).
• Upon booking, customers receive a unique reference code. This must be presented (on phone or hard copy) at collection/delivery.
  

3. Identification

• No formal ID or proof of address is required. Customers must present the unique booking reference sent by us (via email or phone) at the time of collection/delivery.

4. Age Restrictions

• Bookings must be made by individuals aged 18 or over.
• Equipment is intended for use by persons aged 16 and over, or by younger users under the supervision of the responsible adult who made the booking.

5. Rental Period, Delivery, and Collection

• Standard rental hours: 09:00–20:00 daily.
• Rental slots: 4-hour periods, Sunset Special (17:00–20:00), or as otherwise agreed.
• Delivery is to the customer’s location on Worthing or Goring beaches, within 30 minutes of arrival notification via WhatsApp at +44 07359 070 424 or other agreed method.
• Collection is flexible and arranged at a mutually agreed time, or earlier if requested via Whatsapp message.

6. Use of Equipment & Prohibited Uses

• Equipment must only be used in the immediate vicinity of the drop-off point, unless otherwise agreed in advance with Beachstuff.co.uk.
• Only body boards or buckets and spades may be used in the water. All other equipment (chairs, tables, umbrellas, shelters, UV tents) must remain on the beach and out of the water.
• Equipment must not be taken off Worthing or Goring beaches without prior agreement.
• Equipment must not be used for any unlawful purpose or during severe weather or storms.
• UV Tents and Pets:
  • UV tents may be used to provide shade for pets, but customers must exercise care and consideration to maintain the condition of the tent.
  • If there are tears, damage, or stains caused by urine or faeces, a minimum cleaning charge of £10 will be incurred. Additional charges may apply for significant damage or if the tent is considered beyond reasonable cleaning or repair.

7. Care of Equipment, Damage, and Cleaning

• Equipment must be used with reasonable care and returned in the same condition as provided, allowing for normal wear and tear.
• Excessive soiling (including but not limited to staining, tearing, or misuse) may result in loss of deposit and/or additional charges for cleaning or repair, at our discretion.
• For UV tents, any damage or soiling caused by pets, especially urine or faeces, will incur a minimum cleaning charge of £10.
• Please report any damage or malfunction immediately.
• Equipment is cleaned between rentals; however, customers are expected to avoid actions that could result in excessive dirt or damage.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

• Customer cancellations:
  • More than 24 hours before rental: Full refund.
  • Less than 24 hours before rental: 50% refund.
  • No-show or cancellation after delivery: No refund.
• Cancellations by Beachstuff.co.uk (e.g., due to severe weather or operational issues):
  • Full refund or credit, or a pro-rata refund if part of the rental period is affected.
• Weather disruptions: 
  • Sliding scale of credits or refunds applies, based on time used and circumstances.

9. Late Returns and Extensions

• Customers must request extensions in advance. Extensions are only possible if the equipment is not booked for another customer.
• If available, extensions are charged pro rata at the standard hourly rate.
• If equipment is not returned at the agreed time and no extension has been granted, the deposit may be withheld and additional charges may apply.

10. Multi-Day Rentals

• Multi-day rentals are not advertised. If an extension is agreed, specific instructions for overnight storage and care will be provided by Beachstuff.co.uk.
• Customers are responsible for equipment security and condition during any agreed extension.

11. Liability, Insurance, and Customer Responsibility

• Customers use all equipment at their own risk, except where injury or damage is caused by our proven negligence.
• Beachstuff.co.uk holds public liability insurance.
• Customers are responsible for supervising children and ensuring safe use of all equipment.
• Equipment must not be left unattended.

12. Privacy

• Personal data is processed and retained in line with our website privacy policy and UK data protection laws.

13. Changes to Terms

• We reserve the right to update these Terms. The latest version will always be available on our website (Beachstuff.co.uk).
